Lorient defender Bruno Ecuele Manga is emerging as Roberto Martinez's first potential signing as Everton manager.

The Sun says Martinez is preparing to make his first Everton signing with a £4.5million move for Lorient defender Manga.

The 24-year-old centre-half first came to Martinez's attention last season when he was still Wigan manager.

And the new Blues boss has maintained his interest in the powerful Gabon international who replaced Laurent Koscielny at Lorient when he moved to Arsenal three years ago.
