Everton boss Roberto Martinez is yet to make an offer for Wigan Athletic midfielder James McCarthy.
The Mirror says Martinez is tipped to move for Wigan's McCarthy but has made no official move. He has been warned the fee for him would be close to £20 million.
The Spaniard was unable to win signing races for Victor Wanyama and Gary Medel because of a lack of funds.
