Former Everton star Ian Snodin isn't surprised Manchester City are eyeing David Moyes.

Snodin wrote in the Liverpool Echo: "It doesn't surprise me in the slightest to see David Moyes linked with the Manchester City job.

"I've been disappointed in City this season. For all the money they've spent they don't seem to have a particularly good side despite their talented individuals.

"I had a feeling Southampton could get a result against them, and it encouraged Alex Ferguson to go all out against the Blues on Sunday. Most top clubs will admire Moyes, and City's board in particular may feel they deserve more for their money than Roberto Mancini has delivered."
