Everton hero Phil Neville says victory over Liverpool would be the ideal way to kickoff a crucial month ahead.
Everton face BSC Young Boys in the last 32 of the competition later this month after topping a group involving Wolfsburg, Lille and FC Krasnodar earlier in the season.
"The first derby this season was a really tight affair," he told evertonfc.com. "Obviously, Jags scored an unbelievable goal to get a point and I think that helps set this one up really nicely.
"The form actually goes out of the window, but it is one of those where whoever is committed on the day gets the result and there is a little bit of luck involved as well.
"The Europa League is on the horizon as well now - both teams are involved and they will want to be hitting top form ahead of that.
"Nobody enjoys losing a derby game. I won and lost in derbies and it is certainly not a game you want to be losing."
