Duncan Ferguson has been named the Chairman's Blueblood Award winner at Everton's end-of-season awards night.
The Toffees legend was recognised for the contribution he has made to the Goodison Park club as both a player and a coach.
Chairman Bill Kenwright said: "I'll never forget the time I heard that Evertonians do not choose, they are chosen.
"Well, this person was chosen. He is an Everton fanatic, one of the biggest Evertonians ever not to be born on Merseyside.
"He is currently coming out of his shell and telling the world how much he loves the football club. He is one of Roberto's (Martinez) trusted first-team coaches. He is one who understands there will be good times and bad times, happy days and sad days.
"But he also knows there will always be Everton. And as long as there is an Everton, the history books will always mention the winner of this award: Duncan Ferguson."
