Everton fullback Sidibe: Henry needed to be patient at Monaco

Everton fullback Djibril Sidibe has spoken of Thierry Henry's struggles at AS Monaco.

Now in charge of Montreal Impact, Henry's tenure as Monaco coach last season lasted barely three months.

Sidibe was still with ASM at the time and told RMC: "The problem was not his ambitions, he was someone invested in it. The situation meant that there were a lot of injured, there were very young players from 16-17 years old and in certain situations it was as he said: shocking.

"I think the mistake on his part is not to have waited on these things. Ok it's shocking, it's unthinkable, but you're in a situation where it's like that.

"I am in a situation where I try to minimize the thing, to keep what is good. And these little parasites in quotes, it will be erased and it will take the time it takes - but then today there are the cameras and it is complicated."
