Everton fullback Leighton Baines is happy over his relationship with manager Roberto Martinez.

Martinez wants to reinvent Baines as a holding midfielder like Philipp Lahm. Martinez took Baines to Old Trafford to watch the Bayern Munich star last month and it was an experience that opened his eyes.

"I've been getting a bit of stick and I'm teacher's pet now," Baines told the Daily Mail. "I've never heard of it happening before but it was good to see the game live and it was good for him to show the things that they do. Under our new manager, this first season has been extremely positive."
