The forward is set to secure a move away from Real Zaragoza and developments are expected in the coming days, following his return from holiday.

Benfica are believed to be leading the race, but Greek side Panathinaikos are also in the frame and his agent has claimed he is awaiting a call from an English club.

"There are proposals from Panathinaikos and Benfica, but I am awaiting a call from an English club," Aimar's agent Gustavo Mascardi told Record.
