Everton are believed to be facing competition to sign Cardiff City midfielder Joe Ledley.

The 23-year old Wales international has attracted plenty of interest from top flight clubs in the past year or so and at present has no less than four clubs on his trail.

Along with Everton, promotion winners Newcastle, Stoke and Wigan are all in the queue for the out of contract Ledley.

Reports also suggest that Everton boss David Moyes is keen on Marseille winger Hatem Ben Arfa.
