Everton defender James Tarkowski has issued a stark warning to everyone at the club ahead of next season.
The Blues had their lowest points total in the 135-year history of the English First Division or Premier League.
Despite narrowly avoiding relegation, Tarkowski knows that after two seasons that nearly led to the drop, Everton must improve their standards.
Tarkowski told evertonfc.com: “There's a lot of work to be done. We need to do a lot of work in the training ground and a lot in pre-season, too.
“We had games last season where I felt like we played well, but not won or got a result. So we need to score more goals – that's for sure.
“It's a big pre-season for us because we can't be in a position again when we're at the wrong end of the table."
