Phil Jagielka is confident his England gaffe against Spain is behind him.

The Everton defender, 26, gifted Spain's David Villa a goal during his first full Three Lions start in the 2-0 defeat in Seville last month.

But he wants boss Fabio Capello to let him feature against Slovakia at Wembley tomorrow and make amends.

Jagielka said: "I had a little bit of a taster and my form has not been bad at club level."
