Everton defender Johnny Heitinga is keen to hear from Newcastle United.
The Daily Star Sunday says Heitinga is hoping to move to the Toon after rejecting a switch to West Ham United last week.
The centre-back, 30, who also plays midfield and at right-back, wants first-team action to boost his World Cup chances with the Holland squad.
