Everton have signed Gareth Barry from Manchester City on a season-long loan.
The 32-year old midfielder will spend the 2013/14 season with the Toffees who have also signed James McCarthy from Wigan Athletic and Romelu Lukau on loan from Chelsea.
Barry joined City from Aston Villa back in 2009 and although the Eastlands club wanted a permanent sale for him, they have agreed to a 12-month loan.
Everton had a busy deadline day with three inclusions as well as Marouane Fellaini joining Manchester United and Victor Anichebe heading to West Bromwich Albion.
