Everton will challenge Arsenal for Manchester United defender Jonny Evans this summer. The Daily Express says the Toffees would be willing to offer £10million for Evans, despite the fact that he has just over a year remaining on his current contract.

Everton have a strong working relationship with United, with several players moving between the two clubs.

Evans is also on the shopping list of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
