Everton chairman Bill Kenwright wants Phil Neville to stay next season.
The Mirror says Kenwright is seeking a successor to David Moyes with Roberto Martinez, Malky Mackay and Mark Hughes on the shortlist.
But he has dropped heavy hints that he would like Neville to be part of the new structure.
Former Manchester United defender Neville admits he does not know what his future holds when his contract expires with Everton this summer and it is thought he will hang up his boots.
Moyes would also like him to join his new coaching staff at Old Trafford, but Neville has done punditry on Match of the Day and could go in that direction.
