Everton captain Coleman: We haven't been good enough

Everton's performance over the last two seasons has been unacceptable to everyone at the club.

That is the view of club captain Seamus Coleman, who is recovering from a knee injury at present.

While Coleman is not fit for the start of the season, he does believe the first team is being well prepared by boss Sean Dyche for the coming campaign.

Per the Liverpool Echo, he said: “We have got a group of players who are fiercely determined to not be in the position that we have been in for the past two years.

“It hasn't been good enough for Everton and we are the ones who can put things right."

“I have every confidence in the squad and I am really looking forward to the start of the season."
