Everton boss David Moyes has made contact with Burton Albion to recommended Craig Short for the manager's post.

Moyes as contacted Brewers' chairman Ben Robinson asking him to consider former Toffees' favourite Short for the position, says the Daily Mail.

Short was formerly in charge at Notts County and had spent a short spell as manager of Hungarian outfit Ferencvaros.
