Everton boss Moyes praises goal scorer Cahill

Everton boss David Moyes was delighted with Tim Cahill's goal scoring performance in their victory over Sunderland.

The manager was equally impressed with the impact of Cahill, in addition to the side's ability to move on from last weekend's FA Cup exit to Birmingham City.

"I think Tim Cahill has come on," Moyes told evertonfc.com. "I think his game has improved in the last month, and he just needs a couple of goals to go with it.

"His goal tonight was the first and hopefully he's got more of them to come.

"I thought we done the work in the first half which obviously made things a little bit easier, but 2-0 is a difficult result. As soon as you get a goal you can find yourselves under pressure, and Sunderland to their credit came back into it. "We missed a couple of chances to make it three but it was a good job and a good result.

"Well I think we all wanted to get it (defeat to Birmingham) out of their system quickly, and I thought in the main they done that. I felt they went about the job in the right way, and tried to do the right things."
