Everton boss Dave Moyes has told LA Galaxy fans they will see big-name signing David Beckham in his prime.
Moyes in Los Angeles this week as the Merseysiders take in a pre-season training camp on the west coast and Moyes has seen the impact 32-year-old superstar Beckham has already made in terms of delivering more awareness to his new team the LA Galaxy and MLS in general.
"He's an excellent player and a great role model for many people," said the Toffees boss.
"I think he could just about play for any team in the Premier League.
"The Americans seem to have taken to him, and I don't think they are getting anybody who's at the end of their time or who are over the hill in any way.
"I think they're probably getting a player who's at the peak of his career and who's still got a lot to offer."
Moyes saw his Everton side beaten 2-0 last Saturday night in Utah by the MLS's bottom club Real Salt Lake and on Tuesday night saw a Beckham-less Galaxy defeat Mexican champions CF Pachuca 2-1 in a SuperLiga game at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California - where his own side have been training this week.
The Scotsman reports the level of play in the United States has shown definite signs of improvement from previous pre-season visits - and he is sure Beckham will only help to improve standards further.
"I think he'll make an impact, and we'll see how the league goes with the standard of the games," said Moyes.
"But we've played one game - and I watched another good game, Pachuca against the Galaxy, last night. Galaxy did well to win.
"With all the razzmatazz side of it, we feel football's a bit more serious in Britain than the way it's treated over here. But it is improving and the standard is much better."
