Everton boss David Moyes has hopes of signing a new striker in January.
Moyes has largely turned to 19-year-old strikers Apostolos Vellios and Conor McAleny, the latter handed his debut at the Emirates as a late substitute.
And of efforts to improve his team's attacking potency, Moyes said: "We're trying, we're looking at the bench and we're looking at what we've got inside the club to see if we can solve that.
"We've done it with some young players and tried to look for other solutions. It's a manager's job to find it if you can't get it from anywhere else.
"But would you have expected us to make a load of chances at Arsenal? If you'd said to me against Stoke City, I might have said yes."
Asked whether there will be any signings in the New Year, the Everton FC manager added: "I'm hoping we might be able to do something."
