Everton boss David Moyes was delighted with Ross Barkley's performance for their draw at Arsenal.

But despite the impressive display from the fledgling midfielder, the Blues boss says that his development must not be rushed.

"It was a good game for Ross and we just need to bring him along at his own pace," Moyes said.

"There's an awful lot of folk expecting big things from him but he is not quite ready for that [expectation] yet, so I have to take it bit by bit."
