Everton boss David Moyes paid tribute to Peter Crouch after their defeat to Portsmouth.
He said: "We started the game well and there were moments there where I thought maybe we should have gone on and got a second goal, or even controlled the game better.
"We didn't, we allowed them to gradually gain back a bit of control of the game which, in turn, led to them getting their equaliser.
"We knew his [Crouch's] threat and we didn't stop it. Two corner kicks, two goals - but he's very good at it and we didn't cope particularly well with it."
