Everton boss Dyche happy for away fans after win at Burnley

Everton boss Sean Dyche was delighted after their 2-0 win at Burnley.

The Blues won 2-0 at Turf Moor via goals from Amadou Onana and Michael Keane.

Dyche said: "We are building a team ethic and a team respect and that is getting deeper and deeper. The link with the fans is real and getting more and more authentic. I always believed when I was a player and now as a manager you need that link with the fans to be successful.

"I am pleased that I have stuck to task with that [building a relationship with the fans] because there is a lot of noise around football. You get told you should be doing this and that, but I believed in what I can deliver with the players, but it is more important that they believe.

"These are good habits, bigger picture things that I believed needed changing and we are making steps towards changing them."

On the traveling support, he added: "They have had knock [with the points deduction] and really felt it. But they have come here and shown exactly who they are. They have looked after the club for many years and they are happy with what they are seeing.

"They are seeing people give everything, and if you have a team that does that as a fan, that is a great start. If you can add quality and consistency and all the rest of it that is great, but the underbelly has to be there and I think it is."
