Everton battle Wolfsburg for Man City attacker Bellamy

Everton are ready to move for Manchester City attacker Craig Bellamy.

The People says City paid West Ham £14million for Bellamy but Goodison boss David Moyes is offering £8m. City will accept that if the player can agree terms with Everton.

New Wolfsburg gaffer McClaren is now interested in trying to persuade Bellamy to join him in Germany.

Bellamy, who played for Liverpool before being sold by Rafa Benitez, is on around £75,000-a-week at City - which is above Everton's pay ceiling.

But City are prepared to hand Bellamy a golden goodbye in a bid to move him out of Eastlands.
