Manchester United defender Jonny Evans is almost certain to miss next week's Champions League clash with Inter Milan.

The youngster had a recurrence of an ankle injury in United's 2-1 win over Blackburn on Saturday and manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed his absence from this Tuesday's important match.

"It's a nightmare," admitted Ferguson. "Somewhere I have to find two centre-backs but it's looking very doubtful because Jonny's unlikely to play now."
