EUROPA LEAGUE QUALIFYING: West Ham ease through despite Sakho red card

West Ham United moved through to the next round of Europa League qualifiers despite an early red card for striker Diafra Sakho.

The Hammers carried a 3-0 lead from the first leg of the tie with Andorran minnows FC Lusitans but they were reduced to ten men within 12 minutes after Sakho was given his marching orders.

Seconds after the card, any doubts regarding the result were put to rest by Elliot Lee's first goal in Claret and Blue, latching onto a Matt Jarvis pass and finishing into the bottom right-hand corner.

The game finished 1-0 and the Hammers won the tie 4-0 on aggregate.

West Ham will play Malta club Birkirkara in their next Europa League qualifier.
