Bastian Schweinsteiger holds a new record after making another appearance at the European Championships.
The Manchester United midfielder stepped out for Germany for the 15th time at the Euro finals when he replaced Sami Khedira in the 69th minute of the 1-0 win over Northern Ireland in Paris on Tuesday night.
His other outing at this tournament was when he scored within two minutes of coming in the 2-0 win over Ukraine in the Group C opener.
The 31-year-old appeared three times at Portugal 2004, five times as Die Mannschaft was runner-up to Spain at Austria/Switzerland in 2008, five times at Poland/Ukraine in 2012 and a further two outings at Euro2016 in France to make it 15 in total.
Skipper Schweinsteiger now sits ahead of former captain Philipp Lahm, current USA head coach Jurgen Klinsmann, Miroslav Klose and Thomas Hassler on top of the Germany Euro appearances list.
