Manchester City midfielder David Silva has claimed that Real Madrid star Luka Modric's absence from the Croatia team will not affect Spain's preparations ahead of the game between the two nations.
Modric suffered a muscle injury in the 2-2 draw with the Czech Republic and is unlikely to feature in his side's final Group D game against the Spaniards in Bordeaux on Tuesday.
Silva said of that prospect: "He is a fantastic player.
"He is playing very well, but if someone else plays they will also do well.
"We need to be prepared whether Modric plays or not."
