Real Madrid midfielder Michael Essien was asked by Japanese reporters his thoughts on Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagawa.

Kagawa is expected to see some action in tonight's Champions League clash.

"I don't know Kagawa well. If Manchester United has spent money on him he must be a good player. He's had some injuries," said Essien.
