Manchester City midfielder Manu Garcia is fielding offers from across Europe.
The young Spaniard's form on-loan with NAC Breda last season has sparked major transfer interest.
La Nueva España de Asturias says Espanyol have made contact with Garcia, 20, but are not the lone suitor. Girona, Ajax and Toulouse are also keen.
For his part, Garcia has stated he could return to NAC.
"Never say never, I said that last year.
"If the club can take another step and grow, why not stay with NAC for another year? I want to take new steps and get higher in my career, that's what every player wants, that seems like a healthy ambition, but in football, 'Never say never'," he said.
