Espanyol are closing in on Aston Villa defender Carlos Cuellar.
The Mirror says Cuellar is wanted by Spanish side Espanyol.
Cuellar, 29, cost Villa £7.8million from Rangers in the summer of 2008.
But this season he has struggled to hold down a place. He may well jump at the chance to return to his homeland with Espanyol this summer as his Villa contract only has a year left to run.
