Espanyol are in talks with Manchester City for midfielder Elano.
Sport says Espanyol are keen to take the Brazil international on a six-month loan in January, but have been frightened off by the midfielder's wage demands.
Espanyol hope to convince City to cover a percentage of Elano's wages to make the deal happen.
