Espanyol refuse to drop their £8 million asking price for Benfica target Luis Garcia.

Espanyol president Daniel Sanchez Llibre said: "The great truth about all this is that last week we spoke (with Benfica) but found no understanding.

"The distance was too big to close an agreement. Now we have made clear what Espanyol wants and if they do not match our price, he will not be sold."
