There are calls from supporters' groups for Carlos Kameni to be dumped by Espanyol after his confrontation with a fan.

The Cameroon goalkeeper was photographed after training grabbing a fan by the collar in a threatening manner.

Kameni was reacting to the supporter, named 'David', who questioned why he was still to renew his contract with Espanyol.

Later last night, Kameni apologised publicly on the club's website: "It is very difficult to hear such comments when you're training.

"I regret what happened. I did not want to attack anyone or create any problems."
