Espanyol have turned down a bid from Swansea City for Hector Moreno.

The Daily Mail says manager Michael Laudrup is keen on the Mexico international as a possible replacement for Ashley Williams.

The 25-year-old Moreno played in the last World Cup for Mexico and has amassed 46 caps for his country. It is understood Swansea are willing to offer around £5m but Espanyol value him higher.
