Espanyol chiefs have told Arsenal and Tottenham to forget about trying for defender Steve Finnan.

"I am convinced that Finnan will be decisive in our defence," coach Mane said in the Spanish press.

Sport director Paco Herrera added: "Finnan stays in Espanyol because he is a main man for the second part of the season."
