Espanyol sports chief Paco Herrera is set for talks with Brazil midfielder Jonatas.
Herrera is on his way to South America for a scouting trip and after checking on River Plate's clash with Chivas in Buenos Aries, will travel to Rio to meet with Jonatas.
The midfielder remains on Espanyol's books and has been playing on-loan at Flamengo.
