Enrique delighted with Barcelona win over Man City

Barcelona coach Luis Enrique was delighted with victory at Manchester City in the first-leg of their Champions League clash.

Barca return home defending a 2-1 lead.

"I would have settled for this result. It's an away win, and a thoroughly deserved one," said Enrique.

"We had a splendid first half and created a host of chances for ourselves.

"We always had a man free, we combined, we broke clearly through on several occasions and we also defended really well.

"It wasn't our best first half of the season,. We have played some great first halves in other matches too."

On Lionel Messi's spotkick miss, Enrique added: "The only people that miss penalties are the ones that dare to take them. Leo Messi takes ours. But even if we'd won 3-1, the tie would not have been decided.

"Nothing has changed regarding our plans for the return leg. We want to present a good image ourselves by going out and winning that match too."
