England U21 captain James ward-Prowse has claimed that the squad is full of confidence ahead of the European Championships in the summer.
In recent months, Gareth Southgate's Young Lions have beaten three of this summer's U21 Euro2015 finalists including Portugal, the Czech Republic and Germany.
"It shows we've got good quality in the team," said Ward-Prowse. "But the games will be different in the summer.
"We can take a lot of confidence into the tournament after our recent results and hopefully we will be successful. I am very excited about the summer."
The Southampton midfielder scored the winning goal in the 3-2 friendly victory over Germany U21 in Middlesbrough on Monday.
