England midfielder Jack Wilshere felt he and his teammates rose to the occasion in their friendly with Scotland on Tuesday night.
The Three Lions defeated the Auld Enemy 3-1 in front of an intimidating Celtic Park crowd and Wilshere believes it was an impressive performance by the English to record such a victory in such a big match.
"We loved every minute of it," he said.
"We knew going in it would be a great occasion but fair play to us we rose to it.
"We're just delighted we got the win."
Arsenal's Wilshere impressed in a deep-lying midfield role for Roy Hodgson's team, providing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's opening goal with a divine cross-pitch ball before skipper Wayne Rooney scored twice either side of Andrew Robertson's late reply for the Scots.
