England names starting XI for Moldova clash

England boss Roy Hodgson has named his starting eleven for Friday night's World Cup qualifier with Moldova.

The Three Lions host the Moldovans at Wembley in Group H action and will go in with a 4-3-3 formation as they look to move to the top of the standings provided first-placed Montenegro does not win in Poland.

Hodgson is without Daniel Sturridge, Wayne Rooney, Phil Jones, Glen Johnson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain but Jack Wilshere is fit after falling ill whilst Rickie Lambert will gain his first international start after scoring on debut in a friendly against Scotland last month.
