England team manager Franco Baldini has revealed he received a text from David Beckham after he scored his first goal for AC Milan on Sunday.
Baldini said: "After the goal against Bologna David sent me a SMS in which he wrote he was delighted at scoring and said 'Did you see my goal ?'
"I told him that he should enjoy the beauty of the moment and that there would be other matches to play."
Baldini then joked: "I also told him that just one goal was not enough to earn a call up," and he also revealed that Beckham had been watched by England assistant coach Italo Galbiati.
Baldini also joined in the debate over whether Beckham, who is at AC Milan on a three month loan from LA Galaxy, should stay in Italy and said: "It's clear that if he stays in Serie A it would be much better for David."
