England coach Roy Hodgson's footwear is causing a sponsors' uproar.
The Daily Mail says Umbro are concerned that Hodgson is wearing the Copa Mundial boots of rivals adidas, albeit with the three-stripe logo blacked out.
Umbro want the England boss, who is much more active on the training field than predecessor Fabio Capello, to wear their boots, especially when he is so visible at practice sessions.
But Hodgson has a special orthotic boot made by adidas, kit suppliers for his previous club team West Bromwich Albion, to provide more heel support and Umbro will not be able to provide a similar service until after Euro 2012.
An Umbro spokesman said: "We have talked with the England manager and want him to feel comfortable in what he wears. We will endeavour to provide him with the right footwear as soon as possible."
