England coach Roy Hodgson won't walk away with their World Cup chances all but over. Defeat to Uruguay leaves England's hopes of progress hanging by a thread.

Hodgson admits that whether he stays or goes is out of his hands, though.

He said: "On the other hand, and if the FA think I'm not the right man to do the job, that will be their decision, and not mine.

"I've been really happy with the way the players have responded to the work we've tried to."
