England manager Roy Hodgson is planning a surprise call-up for Leicester City's Jamie Vardy.
The Daily Mail is of the belief that the Three Lions boss is pondering the possible selection of the 28-year old Foxes striker who has been in fine form of late.
Hodgson was in the stands at the King Power Stadium on Saturday as Leicester made it six wins in seven outings with a 2-0 result over Southampton with Vardy supplying Riyad Mahrez for the second goal of his brace.
The former Fleetwood Town ace has three goals and four assists in his past eight Premier League outings and could be a shock call-up for England's fixtures with the Republic of Ireland and Slovenia next month, especially considering Harry Kane and Danny Ings will be off representing the U21s at the European Championships in the Czech Republic.
