Empoli president Fabrizio Corsi has handed a vote of confidence to coach Alberto Malesani after their disappointing defeat to Siena.

Corsi said: "The coach has showed his ability to work well. The three consecutive victories of ten days ago are still there to prove this.

"We are facing a demanding schedule, but this won't faze Malesani."
