Elche coach Fran Escriba says beating the drop is a "miracle".

Elche won 2-1 at Malaga on Sunday, their fourth win in its last five league games, to clinch La Liga survival with three games to spare.

"It felt like the film Groundhog Day, constant suffering until the end of the game," Escriba told Marca. "I am really satisfied with the work done by my team.

"The key to our success has been the group.

"The ones responsible for this miracle are the players, they deserve it."
