Eintracht Frankfurt wing-back Jetro Willems hopes to return to Newcastle United.

On-loan for the season with the Magpies, a knee injury suffered earlier in the campaign saw the arrangement cut short.

As he works his way back, Willems said: "Everyone wants and hopes that I will come back and sign a permanent contract with Newcastle."

Asked for a dream scenario, the Dutchman was adamant: "Sign and play for Newcastle."

Willems' contract with Eintracht Frankfurt runs to 2021.
