Eibar have announced that Jose Luis Mendilibar has signed a new deal.

The contract runs to the end of next season.

The coach had previously made clear his desire to extend his stay at Ipurua and the news of his signing is great news for the Eibar fans ahead of next season.

This will be his sixth season at the helm, which is no mean feat considering the lack of patience shown by many presidents in the modern game.

This is partly why Mendilibar has decided to stay at Eibar as he feels valued and knows he won't be sacked after a few bad results due to the trust that the club's hierarchy have in him.
