Liverpool are safely through to the fourth round of the EFL Cup after beating Derby County 3-0 at iPro Stadium.
Jurgen Klopp's Reds extended their unbeaten run to four matches with three of those commanding victories including tonight's performance on the road.
Defender Ragnar Klavan opened the scoring in the 24th minute, slotting home his first goal for the Merseysiders from six yards after the Rams failed to clear Philippe Coutinho's corner.
Liverpool had to deny Derby on one occasion, namely when debutant Loris Karius did well to keep out Darren Bent, before the Reds added a second five minutes into the second half.
Coutinho was the man who made it 2-0 with a low finish from compatriot Roberto Firming's reverse pass before Divock Origi added a third on 54 minutes when firing home Coutinho's through ball from an angle.
It was also a positive night in terms of personnel for Liverpool as midfielder Emre Can returned form injury in the second half while there were also key minutes for striker Danny Ings and exciting academy product Ovie Ejaria.
